The State Corporation Rostec was established and operates in accordance with Federal Law No. 270-FZ of November 23, 2007 “On the State Corporation for the Promotion of the Development, Production and Export of High-Technology Industrial Products ‘Rostec'”, and is a legal entity established by the Russian Federation in the organizational and legal form of a state corporation.
In accordance with the Federal Law, the tasks of the State Corporation Rostec are: to promote the development, production and export of high-tech products; to support Russian developers and manufacturers of high-tech industrial products in the domestic and foreign markets; to carry out technological modernization of production; to develop the country’s scientific and human resources potential; to develop cooperation with major international and Russian industrial companies.
Rostec is one of the largest industrial companies in Russia. It unites more than 800 scientific and production organizations in 60 regions of the country. The key areas of activity are automotive, aircraft, engine, radio electronics, instrumentation, information technology and telecommunications, medical technology, innovative materials, production of weapons and military equipment, etc. The corporation’s portfolio includes such well-known brands as AVTOVAZ, KAMAZ, UAC, Russian Helicopters, UEC, Uralvagonzavod, Shvabe, Kalashnikov Concern, and others.
Rostec is actively involved in the implementation of all 12 national projects. The corporation is a key supplier of “Smart City” technologies, engages in the digitalization of public administration, industry, and social sectors, and develops plans for the development of 5G wireless communication technologies, the industrial Internet of things, big data and blockchain systems.
Rostec acts as a partner to leading global manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Daimler, Pirelli, Renault, and others. The corporation’s products are supplied to more than 100 countries worldwide. Almost one third of the corporation’s revenue comes from the export of high-tech products.
