On June 3, 2025, the Russian-Chinese Business Council took part in a working meeting of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development (hereinafter referred to as the Committee).

The meeting was attended by more than 20 participants from 16 Councils of the Committee; Deputy Executive Director I.G. Batalov took part in the event from the RCBC.

A welcoming speech was made by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International Organizations to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals, Chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development B.Y. Titov.

During the event, the Chairman of the meeting B.Y. Titov informed about the change of the Chairman of the Chinese part of the Committee (member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Hongzhong has been appointed to replace the head of the Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China for Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Xia Baolong, who held this post  for the previous five years), provided information on preparations for the 15th plenary session of the Committee and participation in the 6th Russian-Chinese Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship; the participants also discussed the proposals of the Councils for holding the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the end of World War II.
