The Russian-Chinese Business Council took part in the First online meeting of the Russian-Chinese permanent working group on interregional and cross-border cooperation and special economic zones

On January 26, 2021, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China organized the First Meeting of the Russia-China Permanent Working Group on Interregional and Cross-Border Cooperation and Special Economic Zones. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Department for the Development of Integration Projects and the CIS Countries of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Ilya Fedorov and the Director of the Eurasia Department of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC Wang Kaisuan. Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Federal Agency for Fishery, regional executive authorities of the Russian Federation, as well as federal and regional authorities of the PRC took part in the meeting via videoconference. On behalf of the Russian-Chinese Business Council, the meeting was attended by Executive Director Evgeny Markin and Executive Secretary Alexander Cherednik. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on strengthening Russian-Chinese interregional and cross-border cooperation as well as practical issues that arose due to the spread of coronavirus infection.
