On September 3, on the sidelines of the Forum, RCBC CEO Evgeny Markin took part in the session «Invest in Russia: Improving working mechanisms with foreign investors».

Speakers discussed the existing mechanisms for attracting foreign investment, available tools to support investors starting from investment incentives to protection against changes in legislation.

The participants also discussed the issues of financial support for new projects, coming to the conclusion that financing of projects by russian financial institutions is complicated by the lack of knowledge of the foreign investor and the difficulty of project evaluation with foreign investors.

The discussion was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank Investments Oscar Ratsin, General Director of KitayStroy Lu Hao, Deputy General Director of the Russian-Chinese Investment Fund Teng Lei, as well as representatives of the agricultural sector.
