On December 9–10, St. Petersburg hosted the XV anniversary International forum «Arctic: Present and Future» named after A.N. Chilingarov, which was attended by members of the Russian-Chinese Business Council: GKR «VEB.RF», PJSC MMC «Norilsk Nickel»; PJSC «Novatek»; PJSC «DVMP», and representatives of the Chinese business.

At the strategic session of the Forum dedicated to attracting investments RCBS Advisor N.A. Safronov, delivered a report to the Arctic region on behalf of the Business Council. In his speech, the Adviser raised the topic of Russian-Chinese projects in the Arctic in the context of sanctions pressure and trade war. Thus, the adviser spoke about the successful implementation of projects by RCBS members and their Chinese partners. Joint Russian-Chinese projects in the Arctic give an impetus to the development of the entire region, which meets the interests of the two countries.
