RCBC Executive Director’s working visit to Stavropol Territory

On April 8-12, 2024 Executive Director of RCBC Evgeny Markin paid a working visit to the Stavropol Territory to explore the region’s investment potential.

In the framework of the visit, there was a meeting with Minister of Economic Development of the region Denis Polyubin. The two sides discussed opportunities for attracting Chinese investment and paid attention to the development of special economic zones on the Stavropol Territory. During the meeting the minister also touched upon the issue of restoring the operation of the Stavropol Auto assembly plant. Following thediscussions, both sides reached an agreement to organize a business mission for Chinese entrepreneurs to demonstrate the region’s potential and discuss specific areas of cooperation.

The working visit also included a meeting with theDeputy Chairman of the Government of the region Nikolay Afanasov and the Minister of Tourism of the Stavropol Territory Andrey Tolbatov. The sides to the meeting discussed the prospects for developing the tourism sector in Stavropol Territory, as well as the RCBC’s capabilities to attract Chinese partners to participate in joint projects in the tourism sector.

The Executive Director of RCBC visited the factory of JSC “Narzan” in the city of Kislovodsk (a part of LLC “Holding Aqua”, a member of the RCBC) and had a conversation with the management about possible cooperation with China.

Nowadays the joint-stock company “Narzan” is a high-class enterprise equipped with the state-of-the-artequipment that uses conservation technologies  and employs excellent specialists, experts in their field. “Narzan” is considered to be a reference mineral water in comparative analyses of other waters.

“This visit to the Stavropol Territory enabled us to establish direct contact with the region’s leadership, identify the needs and opportunities of Stavropol. It was important to hear firsthand about the region’s interest in cooperation with Chinese entrepreneurs as reliable and long-term partners. I am confident that this will serve as a good foundation for further fruitful cooperation”, noted Evgeny Markin.
