From April 22 to 24, 2024, Evgeny Markin, Executive Director of the Russian-Chinese Business Council, paid a working visit to the Primorsky Krai. 

During the visit the Executive Director held a meeting with Vitaly Blotsky, Deputy Chairman of the Primorsky Krai Government. The sides discussed issues related to the reconstruction of the Primorsky Academic Theater, which is named after Maksim Gorky, with the support of the regional government. The topic ofopportunities for cooperation with Chinese partners on the supply of stage and engineering equipment for the theater topped the agenda of discussion.

The Executive Director of the RCBC also met Nikolay Stetsko, Deputy Chairman of the Primorsky Krai Government, to discuss investment opportunities in the region. The participants confirmed the necessity for active development of the border areas of Russia and China, and emphasized the importance of combining measures to support entrepreneurs for neighboring regions of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.

Also during the working visit, a meeting was organized between the Executive Director of the RCBC and Ms. Piao Yanfan, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Vladivostok. Ms. Consul, who is a long-standing partner and friend of the Business Council, noted the key role of the RCBC in the development of Russian-Chinese business ties in the region. In turn, Evgeny Markin expressed his gratitudeto Ms. Piao Yanfan for the comprehensive support, which was provided to the RCBC members in Primorye.
