Managing Director of RCBC spoke at the First Russian-Chinese Automobile Industry Forum

During the main session of the Forum named “The government and automobile business: strategic vision, government support” Managing Director Evgeny Markin  delivered a report on the prospects and “bottlenecks” of the development of Chinese automobile industry at the Russian market.

Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of CG FESCO Andrey Severilov, Head of the Department of Automobile Industry and Railroad Mechanical Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tigran Parsadanyan and others have also made their speeches at the session.

The participants of the discussion agreed that Russia and China currently need to enhance their work on localization of the production in Russia and broaden their cooperation in automobile parts supplies.

Evgeny Markin said that the Chinese companies such as Haval, Chery, Geely, Changan have unique opportunities on development in Russia. However in a long term perspective only localization of the production can guarantee the leading position in the industry.

“Nowadays after the sanctions imposed on Russia by the Western countries the producers from the West left the Russian market and the factories capacities became unoccupied. It is a high time to focus on localization of the Chinese automobile producers in Russia. We need wide support from the government and financial institutions in this process. We may provide such support through the Russian-Chinese working group at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is possible to organize such group basing on our experience of launching the Industry Committee at the Russian-Chinese Business Council,”  said Evgeny Markin.

The insurance company VSK was the sponsor of the Forum. The Managing Director of RCBC had a meeting with Chairperson of the Board of Directors of VSK Sergey Tsikalyuk on the sidelines of the event.
